Senior Social Worker - CP/CIN Team - Suffolk (Lowestoft) £40.50 p/h umb
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella) and will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of protection and support.
As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans, ensuring the best outcomes for children.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to provide integrated support services.
- Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and support staff.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local authority policies.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in child protection or related fields.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with families and colleagues.
