Nottingham City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team, focusing on Children with Disabilities. This role is pivotal in providing support and advocacy for children and their families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to assess needs and implement effective support strategies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and their families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Providing direct support and guidance to children with disabilities and their families, promoting their well-being and development. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care and support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions and progress. Advocating for the rights and needs of children with disabilities within the community and educational settings.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
