Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Fostering Team in North Yorkshire, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with foster families, children, and other professionals to provide support and guidance throughout the fostering process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring they meet the required standards. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, helping them to navigate challenges and celebrate successes. Working closely with children in care to understand their needs and advocate for their rights and wishes. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to develop and implement care plans that promote positive outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and legislation.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, BA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a fostering or adoption context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
