Senior Social Worker - CP/CIN Team - Suffolk (Stowmarket)

In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, providing expert guidance, and supporting the development of less experienced staff while ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and managing cases involving children in need and those at risk of harm.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Providing supervision and mentorship to junior social workers and students.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legislation and local policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for children's needs and rights.
The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have significant post-qualification experience in child protection and safeguarding, along with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
