Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Stowmarket, Suffolk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, providing expert guidance, and supporting the development of less experienced staff while ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing and managing cases involving children in need and those at risk of harm. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Conducting comprehensive assessments and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for children. Providing supervision and mentorship to junior social workers and students. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legislation and local policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for children's needs and rights.The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have significant post-qualification experience in child protection and safeguarding, along with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
