Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? Hackney's Children’s SW - LAC Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be working with Looked After Children (LAC) to provide essential support, advocacy, and guidance, ensuring their welfare and development are prioritized.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people. Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to facilitate effective support and intervention. Managing a caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings to collaborate on safeguarding and care strategies. Providing emotional support and guidance to children and their families throughout the care process.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after or child protection context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and diverse stakeholders.
