Senior Social Worker - Child in Care Team - Barnet

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child in Care Team in Barnet. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care, working collaboratively with families, external agencies, and local authorities. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead on complex cases, providing guidance and support to less experienced team members while maintaining a focus on best practices in child welfare.

Your key responsibilities will include:

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Significant experience in child protection and working with children in care.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to advocacy for children.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems and report writing.
