Deputy Team Manager -MASH Team- Ealing Council

Ealing Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. As the Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of social workers and practitioners. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the MASH Team, ensuring effective case management and timely responses to referrals.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members in complex case discussions and decision-making.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and support.
  • Participating in performance management and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of practice.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within a MASH or safeguarding context.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
  • Sound knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and best practices.
