Torbay Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work Project Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of service users.

  • Providing ongoing support and advocacy to help individuals navigate social care services.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local policies and legal requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in adult social work, particularly in assessment and care planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse service users.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, managing a varied caseload.
