Senior Social Worker - Locality - Stockport
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our Locality team in Stockport. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for leading casework, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, conducting assessments, and developing tailored intervention plans.
- Supervising and supporting junior social workers, providing guidance and training to enhance their professional development.
- Collaborating with external agencies, such as schools, health services, and community organizations, to coordinate support for families.
- Participating in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate case records and reports in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a social work setting, with a focus on children and families.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and multi-agency working.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
