Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and risk evaluations for children and families in crisis.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and stakeholders.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in children’s services.
  • Strong knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
