Social Worker - Learning Disability Team - Haringey

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Learning Disability Team in Haringey. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and intervention for individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring they can lead fulfilling lives within their communities. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop care plans, and advocate for the rights and well-being of those you serve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals with learning disabilities to identify their needs and strengths.
  • Developing and implementing person-centered support plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to individuals and their families, helping them navigate available services and resources.
  • Working closely with health professionals, educators, and community organizations to facilitate integrated care and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or in similar social work settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a commitment to best practices in social work.
