Social Worker - Family Safeguarding - Cambridgeshire (Fenland)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding team in Cambridgeshire (Fenland). In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive outcomes and empowering parents. Your expertise will be essential in assessing family needs, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to families in crisis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local policies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the safeguarding strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and family safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to case management.
