Supervising Social Worker - Kinship - Bolton

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Supervising Social Worker to join our Kinship team in Bolton. This pivotal role involves supporting and supervising social workers in the assessment and management of kinship care arrangements, ensuring the best outcomes for children and families. You will work collaboratively with families, children, and external agencies to promote the welfare of children and maintain high standards of practice within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and mentoring social workers, providing guidance and support in their casework.
  • Conducting assessments of kinship placements and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Facilitating team meetings and case discussions to promote best practices and share learning.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
