We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Early Help and Safeguarding HUB in Rochdale. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community. You will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and intervention to families in need, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while promoting positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other agencies. Providing direct support to families, including counseling and crisis intervention. Working closely with schools, health services, and other community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local policies and legal requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in working with children and families, particularly in safeguarding and early intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel within the community is a key aspect of the role.
