Join our dedicated Young People’s Team as a Children’s Social Worker in Southampton, where you will play a vital role in supporting and safeguarding the well-being of children and young people. In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children in our care. Your expertise will help to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to vulnerable young individuals.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and their families. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual circumstances. Maintaining detailed case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements. Building strong relationships with children, families, and various stakeholders. Participating in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding discussions. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA, MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage a caseload effectively.
