Join our dedicated Multi-Agency Child Protection Team in Plymouth as a Children's Social Worker (SM). In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in our community. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions that ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
