Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker within the Court Team in Bournemouth, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a caseload of children and families involved in court proceedings, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including families, legal professionals, and other agencies, to develop comprehensive assessments and care plans that prioritize the best interests of the children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks. Preparing and presenting reports for court hearings. Developing and implementing intervention strategies to support children and families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and court work is essential, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices. You should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in challenging situations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and young people in a social work or related setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
